He took the first sip, greedy and desperate. Then his large, heavily tattooed hand, rough as sandpaper, slowly rose and covered hers on the plastic. “I said get inside! You\u2019re on the clock, not running a charity for thugs!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Henderson marched over, his finger pointing harshly toward the highway. “That\u2019s it. You\u2019re done.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hannah froze. “What do you mean?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“You\u2019re fired. Go get your bag and leave. Now,” he sneered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“You\u2019re firing me for giving a man water?” Hannah\u2019s voice trembled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“I’m firing you for insubordination,” Henderson replied, crossing his arms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The biker looked from Hannah to the manager. “She was just helping me, friend.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Officer! Arrest these people! They\u2019re trespassing!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The lead officer stepped out and walked straight to the man on the ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“General? Are you alright, sir?” the officer asked, removing his hat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
